WHAT IS THE EXHIBIT?
The Exhibit is a new and upcoming literary phenomenon. We are looking for pieces that showcase artist talents and exhibit their inspiring and motivating stories, essays, and poems through the art of language. We are also accepting visual arts like photography, comics, and illustrated short stories. We plan to publish monthly, given the flow of submission to start. Once we are up and running full time, expect to see and hear a lot more from us. We look forward to reading your literary masterpieces and displaying your creative works. For more information, check out our About page and Submit page.
ABOUT US
Editor-in-chief, Samantha Myers, recently graduated from Penn State Behrend with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing. She studied fiction and nonfiction and minored in Communications. After spending the summer writing countless pages and sending out what felt like a million submissions, she decided to find a new way to make an impact in the writing world. So she gathered the forces of her best friend and boyfriend and began to brainstorm the steps of creating a new home in the literature world.
Co-editor, Chelsea Penn, jumped on board instantly and was eager to assist in the creation of their very own literary magazine. Chelsea is currently a student at Slippery Rock University, studying Exercise Science. Chelsea was chosen to assist because of her love of literature and eagerness to make a difference, one story at a time. Chelsea does her part as the fiction editor and master of the Twitter account.
Co-editor, Scott Smith, had the great advantage of being roped into this project by association, but he was eager to help with the arts section, having studied art at Clarion University. It was Scott’s idea to name the magazine The Exhibit and was also nice enough to design the logo for the webpage. Scott assists as poetry and visual arts editor and also helps maintain the Twitter page alongside Chelsea.
